DOLCH SIGHT WORDS

This coming September is fast approaching and so it goes that homeschool moms who are of like minded and make schedules for their kids, are busy planning !  I'm one of them.  My 14 and 12 years olds helped me develop their schedule and curriculum, which is now about 80% ready-to-go.  We've picked the days that they're going to study various subjects, go on field trips, go for family walks - yes this year that will be part of our 'curriculum' since mom needs to shed a few pounds and walking is good for everyone.  Our out-of-the-house commitments are all penciled in, as well.  It's shaping up quite nicely, but I must say, much busier than last year was.  Last school year I had my hands full homeschooling a houseful, plus doing grannycare for my six week old granddaugther, four days a week.  In September, she will then be 18 months old, so part of the homeschooling gang.  


The 14, 12, and 9 year old's curriculums/schedules are mostly done and next I will skip over the two boys who are entering 2nd grade, and work on the kindergartner's curriculum.  Along that line, I want to share a resource that I found that is good for multiple grades, but for right now, I'm printing out the Dolch Sight Words for Kindergarten from this website page  http://www.kidzone.ws/dolch/kindergarten.htm  You have the kids make sentences with the sight words. This is the link to kindergarten, but you'll notice the links from primer through third grade.  Check it out !  A good resource to have on hand for those little ones in your homeschool family !
