EDUCATIONAL WEBSITES

As cycles happen, I've received a number of excellent websites lately from friends or lists that I'm on. They are from ages from pre-school through high school, so you should check them out to see what might be fun for your family to explore !

•  The Young  Scientists Club
  Science Kits via snail mail (suggested from a friend who said the following)I just wanted to share: when my son was younger we used these kits. They were fun, and exciting about getting science in the mail. It is a kit, the majority of materials needed is included. I think you could of chosen 1 or 2 kits per month. Yes, the cost does add up - but I feel this gave him a strong foundation and the intrigue of science. http://www.theyoungscientistsclub.com/
• Printable Worksheets  Galore !!I'm busy printing pages from this site - which has a lot of varied topics, especially in math but certainly not limited to it.  No membership required for logging in and all of that, either.http://www.superteacherworksheets.com
• A 100's number chartI was especially glad to find this 100’s chart to print out so my daughter had her own copy.  It's helpful to use when learning to skip count by 2's, 5's, etc.http://www.superteacherworksheets.com/hundreds-chart.html

So there you have it - six websites to explore and add to your list of homeschool resources.  If you want to take a peek in at some of my children as we were sitting around the dining room table a few days ago, doing assorted subjects during our seatwork, enjoy this picture !  Two more of them were reading in another room.
