We even have a five-foot-plus felt person with all its body parts that are easily movable since the innards are all felt, too. Easy maintenance ! I didn't take a photo of the felt person, but I do have some photos of the other things we're working on such a a book the kids are creating.
You might find them helpful ideas in pulling together unit study ideas on this topic - or any topic. I have a "workbox" that I use, to gather resources on any given topic. I may do so months in advance, knowing that we're looking forward to exploring a topic. It's amazing what we find. Tonight is our local town's library book sale and we've found many a treasure in there at bargain prices - always a good thing ! These are some library resources we took out. What I liked about these books is that they deal with one body system at a time, so I can select more easily what to focus on when using the book as a resource. I also found two movies to watch; one for the older kids and one for the younger ones.
Here's some resources from our own library; a flip book that has those clear plastic pages that show an overlay of one body system upon another. Very cool - the kids like it. The bottom left shows the pages of a book that one of the kids has been working on already on various parts of the body. The green alien person is a foam puzzle that has labeled pieces.
These are the printables from superteacherworksheets.com. They have just about everything !! FREE !

These books are good for assorted grade levels which is what I'm teaching. The green books are workbooks that we're using to build projects, create our own book pages, make a card game, etc. Fun.
As it should be.
